MS in Epidemiology, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

As a Research Affiliate at CrisisReady, Georgia Ronis von Helms works on the Heat Risk Data API project.

She is a Master’s student in Epidemiology, specializing in infectious diseases, at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Georgia studied statistics and history as an undergraduate and worked as a research assistant at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau before turning towards epidemiological research. She became interested in pursuing a degree in epidemiology after doing research as an undergraduate, where she collected historical disease data in order to build and inform infectious disease models.

Georgia is interested in the effects of climate change on health and at CrisisReady she works to present climate data in an accessible, readable format so that people and institutions can identify those who are most vulnerable to experiencing adverse health events during periods of extreme heat.
