Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), The World Bank


Nicholas Jones is a Data Scientist at the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery, where he leads a program focused on applying geospatial data for disaster preparedness and response in low- and middle-income countries. He joined the World Bank in 2010 after previously serving as Oxford Analytica’s lead analyst for South and Southeast Asia. He has worked on analytics and development of investment operations for disaster risk management in regions including the Caribbean and Africa; and spent a sabbatical year at New York University and the NYC Mayor’s Office of Data Analytics.
